Roger Rolke, Ph.D.
Roger retired in 2002 after a 35 year career with Shell. Roger began his career with Shell Development at Emeryville, California after receiving his B.S. and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from Wisconsin and Princeton. After approximately 11 different assignments in Shell’s upstream and downstream businesses in research, engineering, head office, and operations, Roger returned to Houston at Shell’s Westhollow Technology Center in 1986. He served there as Director of Engineering until his retirement.
Roger joined ESCH as a consultant in 2004 and became chair of the Consultant Relations Committee at the start of 2006. He and his wife Judy are active members of St. John Vianney Catholic Church where he volunteers in several ministries. He also is a chaplain volunteer at Memorial City Hospital and serves on the Engineering Leadership Board of the University of Houston. Roger is a past member of the Chemical Engineering Advisory Councils at the University of Wisconsin, University of Texas, and Texas A&M University. He is also a partner and on the board of Houston Social Venture Partners.
