Nan Morris

Director of Development

Nan Morris has over 15 years experience working in and for Houston nonprofit organizations. With a BA in Art from Stanford and a JD from the University of Texas she spent her early career providing legal counsel, development services and consulting advice for several Houston nonprofits including Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (Manager Professional Services), Inprint (Executive Director), and the United Way (Manager, Management Assistance Program).

After earning her MBA from the University of Houston she was asked to manage a marketing project for Amoco which lead to a second career in the energy business. Working for Amoco and then BP, she directed performance management teams in Drilling, royalty recovery teams for the Finance group, and negotiated offshore construction and transportation agreements as Midstream Director the Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Region.

After the recent downturn in the energy business she returned to her first love and now serves as Director of Development for the Executive Service Corps of Houston. She additionally volunteers for Compass Inc., Houston Masterworks Chorus, the Hines Center and the Lulu Bryan Rambaud Charitable Trust among others. She is a member of the 2012 Texas Executive Women’s “Women on the Move” and Center for Houston’s Future Class of Spring 2013.
