Jane Harding, Ph.D.

Dr. Jane T. Harding retired from ESCH in 2010 after a 38-year career in the social sector. In her last position, Dr. Harding was the Executive Director of ESCH. Prior to coming to ESCH, Dr. Harding developed and directed the Research and Grants Management department at DePelchin Children’s Center for 19 years. In this position, she wrote and managed hundreds of federal, state and county grants and contracts. Her department was responsible for the fiscal, process and outcome management and evaluation of these grants and contracts. Dr. Harding holds a Ph.D. degree in Sociology from the University of Georgia. She has lived in Houston since 1983, recently moving to Spring with her husband. In addition to volunteering at ESCH, Dr. Harding serves on the Board of the Executive Service Corps Affiliate Network (ESCAN) and on the social committee of her neighborhood association.
ESCH Experience: joined ESCH in 2005 and oversaw ESCH’s services to hundreds of nonprofits. She was responsible for initiating ESCH’s Financial Fitness, Leadership Coaching, and Organizational Assessment programs and before leaving brought the Developing Development program to the agency. She now serves as a presenter and coach for the DD program and is the presenter for ESCH’s Grant Writing and Choosing Outcome Indicators seminars.
