
Professional Background:
Sallie Diederich is the sole-proprietor owner of a CPA practice office specializing in management consulting for the financial services industry. In this capacity, she is a CPA and holds a BBA degree in accounting from the University of Houston. While she has lived principally in Houston since 1956, she has also lived and worked in Boston and Washington DC. Sallie has also volunteered with a variety of organizations supporting the art community and with literacy programs. Since January 2010, Sallie has been a board member and Treasurer of the Executive Service Corps Affiliate Network (ESCAN).
ESCH Experience:
Sallie joined ESCH in July 2009 and has been implementing the Financial Fitness for Nonprofits Program, FFNP, to help nonprofits through financial management training and/or management consultation services. Her particular areas of expertise are: accounting, financial management, board governance and organizational structures.
Some of her clients and projects include:
- Houston Galveston Institute and Care Net Pregnancy Center of Northwest Houston who have both conducted the FFNP project.
- Almighty Ministries, Inc. provides after school support to at risk youth. In response to their request for financial reporting assistance.
- Green Team America is an organization supporting Houston youth in making the world a greener place. With consultant assistance for their start-up financial accounting and reporting.
With respect to her ESCH experience, Sallie says "This organization allows me to share my expertise with a nonprofit community who might otherwise not have access to the knowledge and skills that I can offer. The opportunity to work with similarly minded experts in delivering valuable resources to nonprofit groups is particularly rewarding especially during a financial environment when nonprofit organizations need help now more than ever."
