Professional Background: Milt Rose retired from Seacor Marine in 2005 after a 38 year career in the maritime industry, which included time at sea with the US Coast Guard and positions with three different companies in the maritime industry. In his last position, he was President of Seacor Marine, a major provider of marine transportation services to the offshore oil industry. In this position he was responsible for a fleet of over 200 vessels and over 2000 people, with domestic and international operations. He holds a BS degree in Marine Engineering from the US Coast Guard Academy, and an MBA from the University of Denver. He and his wife, Jill, have lived in Houston since 1973, but with assignments abroad during that time. In addition to volunteering at ESCH, Milt continues to work special projects with SEACOR, and also serves as the current Chairman of the Houston Maritime Association.
ESCH Experience: Milt joined ESCH in 2006 and since then has helped on one project in providing management consultation services. This project served a large non-profit by providing, at their request, organization and Board development.
According to Milt: "Being part of ESCH is a great opportunity to help organizations whose missions are to help others. Having served on boards of non-profits, and realizing their common challenges of accomplishing their missions with limited resources, it brings great satisfaction whenever I can help an organization improve by using what I have learned over my business career."
